The Calvia City Council identified an area adjacent to three schools that lacked a playground, despite needing to serve children of various ages. Aiming to provide local residents with a safe and functional recreational space, the council commissioned Decópolis to design a modern, diverse, and user-friendly play area.
At Decópolis, we proposed the creation of a children’s play area featuring Landscape play elements tailored to different age groups. This key feature meets the needs of a diverse urban population, combining playful elements with spaces that encourage families to enjoy public spaces together.

The newly developed playground offers a safe, well-integrated environment with clearly defined age-specific zones—because each developmental stage requires different types of play. It also includes rest and picnic areas to promote social and family well-being.
The new play area in Calvià features secure, enclosed zones that include amenities for all ages: a pétanque court for older residents, two age-appropriate children’s play areas, and urban furniture designed for rest and social interaction in the open air.Thanks to the safety and durability of the Landscape play equipment, the city council has been able to reduce maintenance costs typically associated with high-traffic public spaces.
