The Pollensa City Council combined the management plan for Pollensa Beach with the renovation of recreational areas. The original design included the installation of children’s play equipment and services to enhance the area’s appeal for both visitors and residents.
Meanwhile, the Puerto Pollensa Neighborhood Association suggested improving this initial plan by adding stimulating play elements and using materials that would require less maintenance over time and usage.
Decópolis carried out a study and proposed improvements to the recreational area at Pollensa Beach, incorporating play circuits and elements that promote inclusion, stimulation, and learning.
We also recommended more durable materials better suited to the natural coastal environment.

The various play and recreation elements proposed helped reduce overall maintenance costs, while also incorporating recyclable, high-quality materials.
Additionally, the design of the play features was updated to prioritize sensory stimulation, interaction, and children’s cognitive development.
In the end, the Pollensa City Council chose to install two of the play structures from the proposal by the Puerto Pollensa Neighborhood Association and Decópolis. However, they were placed in the area with the highest foot traffic and visibility, and received excellent feedback from all users.
